Dave 'Army' Armstrong

Dave “ARMY” Armstrong

Dave has made SKIING his life. Starting out as a young Ontario Zone, then college, and finally an adult racer, Dave truly has a deep passion for the sport of ski racing!

After graduating from College, Dave was hired by the Fischer Ski Company and found himself in Reid Austria at Fischer’s Ski Factory to be trained as a World Cup Ski Service Technician. This 5 year tenure included the 1980 Winter Olympics.

Dave spent the next 4 years as a Head Coach and Ski School Director before returning to the World Cup Circuit in the mid 1980’s. Dave then worked for the Atomic Ski Company preparing racing skis for world class athletes competing in the Winter Olympics Games from 1988 through to 1994, and all the World Championships in between.

Dave left the White Circus again to be the North American Race Manager for Atomic Skis, and retired in 2008 as the Race Manager for Atomic Canada.

The last few years Dave has found his love for coaching here at Blue Mountain and Craiglieth. When not on the hill he can be found in his shop (ARMY'S) tuning skis for the next group of Olympic hopefuls!
